SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A visitor of San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) tripped and brushed the surface of an Andy Warhol’s Triple Elvis painting on Thursday afternoon.
A viewer called KRON 4 reporting his friend witnessing a visitor elbow and possibly fall into an Elvis painting.
SFMOMA has stated that there will be no release on this incident.
The painting was removed as a precaution from the gallery on Friday morning.
Andy Warhol’s Triple Elvis painting is apparently an 82 million dollar painting.
The painting is now in the conservation studio where it is being evaluated.
Conservators believe that the contact is considered minimal.
