La Grande Passion in 1984

Warhol LA Grande Passion

It wasn’t until the 1980’s, towards the end of his career, that Andy allowed businesses to commission him for advertising work.

La Grande Passion was an advertisement for a passion fruit flavored brandy from France. The style he used in the colorful screen print of La Grande Passion is similar to his early work in the ’50s when he was a commercial illustrator.

Andy depicted the liqueur bottle in the forefront with a vibrant passion fruit flower in the background, drawn in multiple colors that were said to be inspired by pencils that had varicolored led.

Now the question is: Where can we get our hands on this liqueur?
